Great-Grandad and the vanishing Glacier

Great-grandad took a pack of wild horses across the ice. A hundred years later I came back to the same place and realized that the glacier had vanished!

Author and illustrator Thorarinn Leifsson hauls tourists along the same paths as his great-grandad herded sheep in the nineteenth century. The result is a 66-page illustrated book, a mix of a children’s tale, educational material, and a graphic novel. The author describes his ancestors’ primitive lives on this incredible volcanic Island on the top of the world.
