THORARINN LEIFSSON : WRITER AND ILLUSTRATOR

My wife has a new book out!

The Danish translation of The People in the Basement by my wife Auður Jónsdóttir has just arrived from the printing presses of Bookwell in Finland.
I made a new book sleeve for the occasion. The illustration shows an event in the beginning of the book, when the family car gets stuck in a stormy Icelandic river.
I also made a website for Auður.

Racism in Denmark

- Oh No! It is not written in proper Danish!

PP Forlag, a puplishing house in Copenhagen wanted to cash in on the general HC Andersen hype. They ordered aproximatly 80 illustrations for 5 books, published in Iceland, Denmark, Norway and Sweeden. This turned out to be my most important illustration project to date.

You can see these illustrations in the HC Andersen gallery
