Now when the book launch at Leipziger Kinderbuchverlag in Germany is only a few days away and orders from German speaking web-shops have started to come in, the terrible news of yet another
publisher falling prey to the cannibal come to us. Forlaget Torgard has bought the rights to Father's Big Secret to be published in Denmark next year.

Leipziger Kinderbuchverlag has bought the rights to Fathers big secret for the German speaking countries. The book has already been translated by Doctor Hartmut Mittelstädt in Greifswald and will be in the bookstores in September.

In october last year - after the Frankfurt Book Fair - I visited Strassborug for the first time since I was a Street painter and art student, back in the eighties.

In 1985-1986 I traveled to all the big cities in western Europe. Barcelona, Madrid, Paris, Strassbourg, Berlin, Vienna, Rome. Sometimes I was broke, sleeping in construction buildings or in vacant train cars. Other times I was rich and slept in hotels and didn´t work for weeks.

"Father's Big Secret" came out in the end of October 2007 and sold out the first edition. The book was officially launched in the center of Reykjavik city with an exhibition of 16 selected illustrations from it. This was a successful promotional event which the author aims to repeat when the book is published in other languages.

Father's Big Secret is going to Bologna Children's Book Fair on March 31 2008. It is participating in the BolognaRagazzi Award 2008.

As one of 75 illustrators, the author of Father's Big Secret has been selected to represent Iceland in a Nordic exhibition on children’s books illustrations to be held at Copenhagen City Hall, Copenhagen, September 3rd –13th, 2008.

Fathers big secret is a children's book, or "tween" book. It is for kids in the 9-14 years range. Someone said it was a bit like a graphic novel because of all the illustrations. 120 pages of written text with 62 illustrations. I also made some brochures in several languages which can be downloaded from the web site of the book.

Chess board killerI now regularly write and illustrate for the biggest payable newspaper in Iceland, Morgunblaðið. Here is a gallery with the illustrations. One of my
older Magazines Illustrations was used on a cover of a book by Ana-Maria Palimariu, Teaching Assistant in the Department of German Language and Literature of the "Alexandru Ioan Cuza" University Iasi/ Romania. My first Illustrated book written, illustrated and layed out by myself is out in a few weeks. More about that later.

Good things have happened in the last few months. I have relocated from Copenhagen to Barcelona with my wife Auður. We have launched a company, Ramblan Productions ehf which is now our employer. Ramblan is meant to open a few new opportunities and simplify administration of work for clients all over Europe.
